About Tamsui Wisteria Garden

Wisteria Coffee Garden (Tamsui Wisteria Garden) is the largest wisteria garden in Taiwan. All the wisteria in the garden are over 30 years old. The owner, Mr. Lai Wen Chien, has been dedicated to the study of wisteria for over 30 years and has had many technical exchanges with Japanese horticulturalists. It is the only wisteria garden recognized by Japan.
The Wisteria Coffee Garden is only open for 20 days each year, making it the most unique garden in Taiwan. It is scheduled to open from mid-March to early April each year, and is not open to the public for the rest of the year. Wisteria is difficult to care for and requires meticulous care at other times. The owner wants visitors to see the most perfect side of the garden, opening it only when it is in full bloom, and spending the rest of the year tending to the wisteria flowers.
